STARS+ Erasmus Programme of European Union (EU) supports Madurawala Ecotourism Project

Sri Lanka Ecotourism Foundation (SLEF), the pioneer National Ecotourism Society of Sri Lanka (www.ecotouismsrilanka.net) is Coordinating  the  ERASMUS + STARS Programme  in Sri Lanka in association with the Fundación General de la Universidad de La Laguna located in San Cristobal de La Laguna, Canary Islands, Spain and supported by the Education, Culture and Audiovisual Agency of the European Union (EU)

This Project is Youth delegates from the Canary and Tenerife Islands, (Spain), Madeira Island (Portugal), New Caledonia Island (France), the Solomon Islands (Oceania), Budeo Islands, Chile (Americas), Sri Lanka and Bali, (Indonesia-Asia) are taking part in this “Sustainable and Ecotourism in Rural Societies” (STARS) Programme. The STARS Project has mainly been focusing on elimination of poverty and unemployment of youth from the island nations

2 (two) Volunteers from Canary Islands have been working in Sri Lanka  since June, 2016 to 5th November, 2016, attached to the Madurawala Tourism Development Foundation (MTDF) and Madurawala Community Based Ecotourism Foundation namely  Alvaro sanchez delgado and Isora Lorenzo
